Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 August 2026
This policy explains what personal data GoThumbnails collects, why we need it, who helps us process it, and the choices you have.
1. Who is responsible
Operator details (to be completed by the site owner)
- Legal entity name: [your company or sole trader name]
- Registered address: [postal address]
- Governing law and courts: [country / state]
- Contact: legal@gothumbnails.com
2. What we collect
- Account data — email address, display name and, if you sign in with Google, the basic profile information Google returns.
- Creative inputs — prompts, topics, uploaded reference images, face profile photos, brand kit colours and fonts, and canvas layouts you save.
- Generated output — thumbnails, titles, hooks, descriptions, scripts and research reports stored in your Library.
- Usage and billing records — credit balances and transactions, which features you ran and when, and subscription status. Card details are handled by our payment provider, never by us.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and device information, and error logs needed to keep the service secure and working.
3. Why we use it
- To provide the studio: authenticate you, run generations, and store your work (performance of contract).
- To meter and bill credits, and to prevent abuse of free credits (contract and legitimate interests).
- To debug failures, protect accounts and keep the service secure (legitimate interests).
- To send service and billing emails; marketing email only if you opt in (consent).
- To measure aggregate product usage, where you have allowed analytics cookies (consent).
4. AI processing of your inputs
When you run a generation, the prompt and any images you attached are sent to the AI model provider that powers that feature so it can return a result. We ask providers to process this content only to serve the request. Because generation is the core purpose of the product, you cannot use the studio without this processing taking place. Do not upload content you are not comfortable sending to a third-party model.
6. How long we keep it
- Account, project and Library content: kept while your account is active.
- Uploads, face profiles and rendered thumbnails: kept until you delete them, or shortly after account deletion.
- Credit and billing records: kept as long as required for accounting and tax purposes.
- Error and security logs: kept for a short, rolling period.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can request access to your data, correction, deletion, a copy in a portable format, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also withdraw consent at any time.
Most of this is self-service: you can edit your profile, delete individual thumbnails and reports, and delete your account from settings. For anything else email legal@gothumbnails.com. If you believe we have handled your data badly, you may complain to your local data protection authority.
8. International transfers
Our vendors may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
9. Children
GoThumbnails is not intended for children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our processing changes, and will highlight material changes in the app or by email.
